I started as a Graphic Design Intern at Capsim and worked my way into a full-time role. What started as updating old resource materials turned into building and maintaining the brand. Over the years my role has expanded to design the interfaces, experiences, and resources. Marketing materials and art direction have also been a big part of my role. I collaborate and manage projects that span the whole company and its various departments.

This fan-run podcast needed a rebrand in 2017 and I initiated the project to help them out. What was fun and unique about their rebrand was the digital platform I knew this would live. Digital design is present in our everyday lives and creating a brand to standout among the noise was a challenge. To meet this challenge, I did research of past branding, competitors, and even the Chicago Bears. When complete, we started talking about other projects I could help with and the rest is history. I now design all of the custom content for the podcast. That means social media graphics, digital banners, splash screens, and the projects keep evolving.

I am deeply interested in sports design. Whether that is a team rebrand with a uniform overhaul, or creating a new typeface with a focus on the numerals so they jerseys really shine, I have a passion for sport.

This was a great internship while finishing up my degree at Columbia. I was exposed to taking direction on projects, and eventually implementing my own art direction. My highlight was the seasonal Program Guide. This program is released 4 times a year. There needed to be consistency from program to program, but also unique touches for that release. My design won 1st place against all other park district Program Guides.
